HangZhou’s Osmanthus trees bloom only once a year,
Each petal is gathered at dawn, still wet with autumn dew.
By the old method of enfleurage, blossoms are laid upon soft oils, their fragrance drawn slowly, gently, like silk pulling light from the air.

8.0 Kilo Gram of fresh osmanthus yield a single bottle of perfume — a weight of flowers distilled into memory. Peppercorn sparks, pine whispers, yet it is osmanthus that reigns — honeyed, apricot-rich, eternal.
