Inspiration:
Winter in Nara was cold and quiet. Inside a small strawberry farm, rows of green leaves stretched through the warm greenhouse. Hidden underneath were strawberries unlike the usual red ones — pale, almost completely white, with tiny red seeds across the surface. The first thought was simple. “Is it ripe?” The farmer smiled and picked one. It was soft, juicy and unexpectedly sweet, with barely any sharp acidity. The colour made it look delicate and unfinished, but the taste said otherwise. Outside, Nara was still grey with winter. Inside the greenhouse, something white had already ripened.
