Inspiration:
The jar rests by the window, bathed in pale moonlight. Inside, Ume plums float in slow orbit, their green fading into gold as weeks pass. 

Each night she turns the jar a little, watching it breathe, as if tending a secret garden of glass and spirit. By the time winter comes, the liquid gleams like amber light, this is what patience tastes like.
